About · Porch & Pantry Cafe

Our story, our porch.

A kids- and pet-friendly cafe built as a community space in Bangsar — a porch to sit, and a pantry to share.

About the cafe

Bangsar's quiet corner for coffee and comfort food.

Tucked into Bayu Angkasa on Jalan Medang Kapas, Porch & Pantry Cafe is built around arched windows, warm timber counters, and marble that catches the morning light. Whether you're here for a quick espresso or a slow Sunday brunch, the porch is always open — and so is a seat at the table.

  • All-day coffee & brunch, 8:30–5 daily
  • Pet-friendly outdoor porch seating
  • Family-friendly, community big-table

Our story

How the porch got its name.

Long before the espresso machine arrived, this building was the residence of a former Prime Minister of Malaysia — back before he held the office. Founder Stacey Fredericks, a first-time business owner and new mother, discovered the empty space in Bayu Angkasa after relocating to Bangsar during the pandemic. Rather than strip it down, she kept the original marble flooring and several of the original doors intact — the main dining room today is the residence's old hall, now filled with brunch plates instead of state business.

Opened January 2026, tucked inside Bayu Angkasa on Jalan Medang Kapas, Bangsar.

The indoor dining hall is the former residence's original hall, marble floors and all.

Built as a kid- and pet-friendly "backyard playground" — right down to the indoor slide.
